1. The legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues, precursors and measures to counteract their illicit trafficking is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and consists of this Law, other regulatory legal acts, as well as international treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan.
2. International treaties ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan have priority over this Law. The procedure and conditions of operation in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan of international treaties to which the Republic of Kazakhstan is a party are determined by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 10, 1998 No. 279.
This Law regulates the legal basis of state policy in the sphere of trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors and establishes measures to counteract their illicit trafficking in order to provide drug treatment and protect the health of citizens, public and state security.
